Privacy Policy

Last updated: 29 June 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Clinic Wala("Clinic Wala", "we", "us" or "our") collects, uses, shares, stores, retains and deletes your information when you use the Clinic Wala patient application and the website at app.clinicwala.com(together, the "Service"). Clinic Wala lets patients book and attend video consultations, order medicines and lab tests, link their ABHA / ABDM health ID, and store health records, vitals and family profiles.

By using the Service you agree to this Policy. We handle personal data in accordance with applicable Indian law, including the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act).

1. Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of information:

  • Account & identity: name, email address, mobile number, gender, date of birth, profile photo, and a user ID we assign.
  • Family member details: name, relationship, gender and date of birth of family members you add to manage their care.
  • Health information: health records, vitals, allergies, prescriptions, lab reports, consultation history and, if you choose to link it, your ABHA number / ABDM health records.
  • Location: approximate or precise location, only when you grant permission, to help you find nearby clinics and services.
  • Payment information:processed by our payment partner for paid features (consultations, medicines, lab tests). Card and banking details are entered on the payment partner's gateway; we do not store your full card number.
  • Device & usage data: limited technical information needed to operate the Service, prevent fraud and fix problems.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To create and manage your account and family profiles.
  • To provide the Service — video consultations, medicine and lab orders, health records, vitals, wallet and ABHA/ABDM features.
  • To process payments for paid features.
  • To communicate with you about appointments, orders and your account.
  • To secure the Service, prevent misuse and comply with law.

3. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal data and we do not share it for third-party advertising. We share data only as needed to run the Service:

  • Healthcare providers: the doctors, clinics, pharmacies and diagnostic labs you choose to consult, order from or book, so they can provide care to you.
  • Payment processor: our payment gateway partner processes your payments on our behalf. They act as a processor and are bound to use the data only to complete your transaction.
  • ABDM / ABHA:if you link your ABHA health ID, relevant data is exchanged with India's Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission ecosystem under your consent and its framework.
  • Legal & safety: where required by law, regulation, legal process, or to protect the rights and safety of users.

4. Data Security

All data is encrypted in transit using HTTPS/TLS. We use commercially reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your data and restrict access to it.

5. Data Retention

We retain your personal data only for as long as it is needed for the purposes described in this Policy, and as required by law:

  • Account data (name, contact details, profile) is retained for as long as your account remains active. When you delete your account, this data is deleted or irreversibly anonymised, except where we are required to keep it (see below).
  • Health and medical records (consultations, prescriptions, lab reports, vitals) created during your care are retained by the treating clinic / provider for the period required by applicable medical-records and healthcare regulations, even after you delete your account. After account deletion these records are archived with restricted access and are no longer shown in the app.
  • Transaction and tax records are retained for the period required by applicable financial and tax laws.
  • When a retention period ends and there is no legal obligation to keep the data, we delete or anonymise it.

6. Data Deletion & Your Rights

You can request deletion of your data at any time. There are two ways:

  1. In the app (self-service): go to Profile → Delete account, type DELETE to confirm, and submit. This permanently deletes your Clinic Wala account and logs you out. Your account profile and the personal data linked to it are deleted or anonymised, subject to the retention rules in Section 5 (medical, transaction and tax records that we are legally required to keep are archived rather than erased).
  2. By email:to delete a specific family member's profile, or for any deletion request you cannot complete in the app, email us at info@clinicwala.com from your registered email address. We will verify your request and act on it within a reasonable period (typically within 30 days).

You also have the right to access, correct or update your personal data — most of which you can edit directly in your profile — and to withdraw consent for optional data (such as location or ABHA linkage). To exercise any of these rights, contact info@clinicwala.com.

7. Children's Privacy

The Service is intended for users aged 18 and above. We do not knowingly create accounts for children. A parent or guardian may add a minor as a family member under their own account to manage that child's care. If you believe a child has provided us personal data directly, contact us and we will delete it.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page and change the "Last updated" date above. Significant changes will be notified within the Service where appropriate.

9. Contact Us

If you have any questions about this Policy or your data, contact us at info@clinicwala.com.
